Members of St. Vincent de Paul minister to the poor and those struggling to make ends meet in the name of St. Rose Parish and The Mission of the Good Shepherd. Members may perform a variety of functions, including:
- making home visits (in teams of two) to determine a family's need and how St. Vincent de Paul can help;
- providing food and/or assistance with utilities or rent;
- helping others budget;
- maintaining a food pantry, etc.
Members meet twice a month for ongoing spiritual enrichment and formation as ministers. The time you donate as a member of St. Vincent de Paul is flexible and averages about one-two hours a week. We meet twice a month and are "on call" for emergencies. Training is provided by the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
